Beaches in Uganda

Uganda is a landlocked country surrounded by various attractions and tourists are lured into the country because of these attractions each year. The country is blessed with Lake Victoria which harbors the best and most wonderful beaches and most of them are found in Entebbe town. The beautiful treats found at the beaches are always amazing for a day. Here are some of the beaches you can relax and enjoy the freshness coming out from Lake Victoria for a remarkable time in Uganda.

Imperial Resort Beach: The beach is located next to Entebbe Golf club, imperial Resort Beach is one of the famous beaches in Entebbe town surrounded by nice swimming pools for both children and adults. The beach occupies a large white sand shoreline where weekend lovers can participate in various activities like beach soccer, sunbathing, beach volleyball, and also beach walks. Visitors can also spend their nights in one of the best rooms at Imperial resort hotels.

One love beach: Owned by the famous National Unity Platform president, Musician, and Ghetto President. For anyone who loves music and dance then the beach is one of the best for the activity. located in Busabala along the shores of Lake Victoria along Entebbe road. 

Nabinyonya Resort Beach: This is the best beach for people who love so many adventures and is the best place to find the Red-tailed monkeys and many bird species. The beach is always less noisy on weekdays and has large crowds and noise on weekends.

Aero beach: The beach is located along the airport past imperial and resort beaches.

Lutembe Beach: Is located after Kajjansi with a swimming pool for those who love swimming pools with the best music and food.

Nabugabo Sand Beach:The beach is located 20km East of Masaka and the lake gives life to the sand beach. The road to the beach is so amazing and very smooth.

Lindo Beach: Is the oldest beach in Entebbe located about 1 km from the international airport with 2.5km from Kitoro. The beach has amazing white sand perfect for volleyball. At the beach, visitors can take a boat cruise on Lake Victoria at a fee, meals are also served starting from Ush 7000 and above.

Ssese Islands;The island is located in the North-west of Lake Victoria and it is a famous destination for both locals and internationals. The Island is best for bird watching, monkeys can also be found there and there is a chance of seeing the crocodiles and hippos. trips there can be arranged by the lake taxi or private boat, you can rent a bicycle with a nice bonfire at night or visit the party scene on weekends along Kalangala Bay. During your time at the beach, you can get to enjoy refreshing drinks, and eats from the restaurants and pubs in Kalangala town.

Munyonyo Beach: Munyonyo is a prime destination not only because of the Martyrs shrine and the five-star hotel but the beach inclusive located close to Kampala, the beach as being maintained by the commonwealth resort which accommodated the commonwealth delegates in Uganda with various activities like renting a speed boat or ride on a canoe to visit the chimp Island, Bullago. Helicopter trips are also available including horseback riding, fishing, and a game of paintball to pass time in a relaxed environment.

Serena Resort Beach; The beach is only accessed by the visitors in Lake Victoria Serena Resort and is located in the Kigo district with beautiful surroundings for a private boat cruise and also playing golf.

The beach is not safe for swimming due to the risk of Bilharzia but there is a swimming pool at the resort.

Nabinonya Resort Beach; The beach is considered for the youths and families who love adventure since there are many trees that harbor monkeys, birds, and reptiles and it is a popular site for camping. There is a local soccer youth team that always comes out at the campsite to play so visitors can also enjoy the excitement and there is a stall for snacks and drinks.

Spennah Beach; Is one of the favorite beaches for the locals since is the best place for parties. The place is always good for weddings, birthday parties, fashion shows, and music festivals and the weekenders always enhance the white sand of the beach the beach is blessed with snacks and more especially the tasty chicken from the kitchen so making it one place to stop for your weekend.

Lost paradise Beach;Is a hidden beach in the southwest of Uganda in Lake Bunyonyi which can be accessed within 15 minutes with a motor boat the beach is best for yoga and meditation. Lost paradise Beach is one of the most affordable attractions in Uganda because of the location of Lake Bunyonyi which poses no risk of bilharzia and has no crocodiles or hippos hence the best place for swimming since it is safe.
