  1. Day 1 Kampala / Entebbe – Ziwa sanctuary Rhino tracking – Drive to Murchison falls national park – Night game drive

    Today after having a tasty breakfast or on your arrival at Entebbe international airport by 7:00am, you will be met by a driver guide from Vibrant Holiday Safari for pick up, brief you about this 3 Days Safari to Murchison Falls National Park and Chimpanzee tracking and then start off your 5 hours’ road drive to Murchison falls national, the journey will take you through several villages and small towns in the Uganda’s countryside with green lovely vegetation. On your way, branch off on a 7km drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongala district for the white rhino tracking experience. Rhino tracking experience is awesomely unique wildlife experience which grants you a chance to encounter Rhinos close to their feet in distance of about 6 to 7m with the guidance of your skilled site guide and you will be allowed to take as photos as you would want to keep your good memories with these endangered rhinos. Rhinos had gone extinct in Uganda by 1970’s but they were re-introduced again in 2005 after the establishment Ziwa sanctuary. After the rhino experience, relax for a few minutes and then proceed with your road drive to have lunch in Masindi town and later to the park to check in at your booked lodge to spend your evening relaxing. Later late in the evening, drive to the park start for your night game drive to spot nocturnal species of the park such as the big cats like canning Leopards, Lions and other predators like spotted Hyenas, the Civet, Porcupines and other mammals like Hippos, bush babies, genets, and the nightjar which tends to feed at night as well as viewing the incredible moonlight in the Albertine Nile is among the best wonders that can be enjoyed on a night game drive.

  2. Day 2 Murchison Falls National Park – Morning Game drive – Afternoon Boat Launch cruise - Hike to the top of the Murchison falls

    Begin the day with a hot breakfast and then set off for an early morning wildlife sighting game drive through the savannah plains and Albert, Victoria and Buligi tracks. A game drive in Murchison falls national park is one of the best ways to explore and see the rich diversity of Wildlife both mammals and bird species in the Park. Murchison Falls National Park is a home base to different wildlife species including over 76 recorded mammal species including the caped Buffaloes, Warthogs, Jackson hartebeests, Oribis, Lions, Uganda Kobs, Spotted Hyenas, Giraffes, Bushbucks, Elephants, Leopards, and Hippopotamuses among others and 450 bird species including the rare shoebill stork. The park’s landscape is a perfect grazing and hunting ground to mammals therefore, making it an amazing destination for a game drives. After the game drive at around 11:30am, head back to the lodge to freshen up, relax, have lunch and then go for the impressive afternoon boat cruise trip along the River Nile. On the boat you will meet different animals and bird species, like hippopotamuses, the huge Nile crocodiles, monitor lizard and several other land mammals like elephants that quench their thirst and swim from the waters. The boat will lead you few meters to the base of these falls that will award you with a breathtaking views of the fall. Disembark from the boat and start off on a 45minute hike (basing on the speed of the person) to the top of the Murchison waterfalls, where you will also have an amazing sceneries of the falls right from the top, the thunderous sound made by the falls as the water pours in the pool is so marvelous. You will meet your guide and vehicle at the top for a transfer you back to the lodge to relax dinner and an overnight.

  3. Day 3 Murchison Falls National Park – Chimpanzee tracking – Return to Kampala / Entebbe international airport

    Get up early enough to have breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Budongo forest reserve for the Chimpanzee tracking experience. The Budongo Forest reserve is among the most significant chimpanzee tracking destinations in Uganda and the largest natural forest Murchison falls national park with three major tourism sites – these include the Kaniyo Pabidi, Sonso and Busingiro sections. There are 4 small rivers which flows through the forest and into the Lake Albert these include Waisoke, Kamirambwa, Siba and Sonso. Budongo forest is known for hosting a large population of chimpanzees and mahogany trees which can go grow up to about 85 meters long and 21 meters in diameter. Besides chimpanzees, there are other wildlife species in the forest such as 24 mammals, 8 other primates and 300 butterflies but Chimpanzee tracking is the most popular activity with over 600 chimpanzee individuals and some well habituated families for tourism. During Chimpanzee tracking, you may encounter other primates such as Olive baboons, Black-and-White Colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Red-tailed Monkeys and Grey-cheeked Mangabeys and your guide will give you information about everything that you will encounter. Once you meet chimpanzees, you will be allowed to stay with them for a maximum of 1 hour. After chimpanzee encounter, return to the starting to point to relax for a while and then drive to Masindi town to have lunch and later embark on your road drive back to your hotel/ residence in Kampala or drive straight to Entebbe international airport to meet your return flight. This will be the end of your 3 Days Safari to Murchison Falls National Park and Chimpanzee tracking.
