Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is situated in the southwestern part of Uganda with an area of 321 km2 and it is a recognized World Heritage site by UNESCO. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park is a home to half of the world’s remaining population of the endangered mountain gorillas with over 450 mountain gorillas.
Yo will have an early morning breakfast in the misty Bwindi forest and later head to the park headquarters for a short briefing from the park rangers. During this meeting, your will be informed on the rules and regulations, dos and dont’s involved during mountain gorilla trekking. After your briefing you will be assigned to a mountain gorilla family to track; start your trail to go and see a particular allocated mountain gorilla family. Gorilla trekking lasts for a minimum of two to eight hours depending on the location of these giant primates.
After encountering Uganda gorillas, you will spend an hour with them to take photos and videos and well as seeing them how they live in a misty jungle!! Trek back to your starting point to pick your gorilla trekking certificate and later drive back to your lodge for lunch and other planned activities as per your itinerary

Day 2: Kampala / Entebbe – Drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park – Community walk
After having your fantastic breakfast, meet your driver guide at the reception to start your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park that is found in the southwestern Uganda the best places for mountain gorilla tourism experience in Uganda and Africa at large. Bwind Impenetrable forest national park is proud to be a home to the biggest population of the world’s available Mountain gorillas. Before reaching Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, you will have a stopover at Kayabwe Equator landmark to watch water experiment which shows the movement of forces on both northern and southern hemispheres, take some memorial photos and then proceed with your drive through Ankole region with their long horned local cattle, have another stop in Mbarara city to have lunch. Thereafter, drive to the park to check in at your reserved lodge to relax, dinner and an overnight. If time allows, go for a community walk to meet people around the park.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park – Mountain gorilla trekking – Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
On this day, after having breakfast leave the lodge with packed lunch and drive to the park information center for briefing at 7:30am which includes to be given the rules and guidelines for to follow during mountain gorilla trekking. Thereafter, start your adventurous forest walk to search for mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, you will be guided by an experienced and knowledgeable UWA guide and armed ranger who will give much information about everything that you will meeting during your forest walk such as other primates, butterflies, many bird species and other mammals. The time take to meet mountain gorillas is not known because is determined by the movements and location of the mountain gorilla family that you are tracking. Once you meet mountain gorillas, you will have a maximum of 1 hour to stay with them, take memorial photos and ask questions to your guide and after return to the starting point to pick your tracking certificate, have lunch and then embark on your drive to Lake Bunyonyi to spend your evening canoeing and bird watching. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the most beautiful places and a nice relaxing point after mountain gorilla trekking. Dinner and an overnight.
